The Memory of Water

Hello Everyone

Does anyone in your family ever use homeopathic remedies?

Some people think they are very useful, and some don’t believe they can be helpful at all.

The main reason for this is because the substances put in the water that you drink are so diluted by the time they are taken by the patient they hardy exist at all.

And some homeopathic remedies are so diluted that no molecules of the original substance put into the water remain at all.  lt is like the water they are in is just retaining a memory of what was put into it, rather than containing the substance itself.

Homeopathy is what is called an unconventional medicine.  lt is not mainstream medicine and if you want to see a homeopathic doctor they will probably be someone other than your GP.  A homeopathic doctor has special training.

Homeopathy was developed in Germany 200 years ago.  But the roots of the practice go back much further to Ancient Greece.

lt is a system of medicine that believes that ‘like cures like’; or put another way if you give someone a tiny bit of what is making them ill, it will cure them.  You can fight poison with poison.  The body will be able to fight the illness.

Their disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people.

Toxic substances when diluted enough, can become therapeutic.

Homeopathic products come from plants, minerals and animals; some of which are usually thought of as being very poisonous.

Treatments are tailor-made to fit the person not just the ailment.  Different patients with the same condition can be given different treatments, and this is different from conventional medicine.

Homeopathic products are often made up as sugar pellets which are very small.  These are placed under the tongue where they are left to dissolve.

This method of getting medicine into the system (of your body) is called sublingual, and is supposed to work better than swallowing tablets.  These pellets should not be taken at the same time as when you have a strong taste of something else in your mouth like coffee or toothpaste.

You can also get homeopathic creams, ointments, drops and tablets too.

The Royal Family, and millions of other people, like to use homeopathic medicines.

Homeopathic doctors often give their patients plenty of time to talk about what ails them.  lt is good to be listened to and heard when you feel ill, and maybe even frightened.

lt is good for a doctor to listen to a patient talking for a while to find out quite a lot about that person.  They treat the whole person not just the disease.  This is called holistic medicine.

Some people say that homeopathy is a branch of medicine that does not work in the same way as other medicines and so is unscientific.  But a lot of people, even in conventional medicine, think that bad thoughts over time create illness – like stress or grief, hating your job or being very frustrating about your situation in life.

Some people say that a homeopathic cure is all in the mind.  This means that if you think you are taking effective medicine, you will think yourself better – it is a case of mind over matter.

But experiments have been conducted on groups of animals with infections, and when they were divided into two groups and the animals with homeopathic medicine put into their drinking water got better and the other group did not, the findings become very interesting.

The animals had no notion of what was being done to them, of course.

lt could also be, that homeopathic medicine is better at curing some illnesses than others.

But studies on the subject still continue, because for water to be able to cure you because it has a memory of what it had in it at one time seems a very strange concept.

ln more modern times, another scientist decided to test this theory of water having memory.

He became world-famous in his lifetime.

Dr Emoto was a Japanese scientist who had some interesting theories in his mind that he wanted to test out.

Curiosity is the beginning of wisdom.

He knew that water makes up about 70% of adult human bodies, about 70% of the world’s surface and is absolutely necessary for life.

He said when we are born we are 90% water, in old age we are 50% water.

Most of our lives we are mostly water, and it is important for our health to keep hydrated with clean water.  Water we use must be clean otherwise it will cause disease.

We need to drink water, and so do other animals.  Plants need water too.

Water is of prime important to us.  lt is a life force.  lt circulates nourishment and energy around our bodies.  lt is in our cells.  And yet we don’t give it much thought on a day to day basis.

He said that water is better when it flows and does not become stagnant.

And life is about flowing and changing and growing.

This is true about human lives and the whole of nature.

He wanted to show that our thoughts are things, and also that our thoughts affect our surroundings.  They do this by sending out vibrations that have different frequencies.

Everything in the universe is energy in vibration and everything has its own unique vibration.  All substances that seem solid – at a molecular level exist as particles and waves.

Dr Emoto said that emotions have opposite frequencies:

Hate v gratitude

Anger v kindness

Fear v courage

Anxiety v peace of mind

Pressure v presence of mind

Good is stronger than bad, and joy beats misery!

He wanted to find out whether the thoughts of people could affect the molecular structure of water because water is sensitive to its surroundings.

His experiments were conducted over many years.

He thought that water can copy, memorize and transport information.

ln his experiments, he exposed distilled water to different words, pictures and music – classical and pop.

Sometimes the words were spoken out at the water by someone, and sometimes the words were written on paper and the pieces of paper were tied around a jar full of water.

Then he froze the water and used microscopic photography to record what had happened to the water.  Sometimes it formed ice crystals.

And here comes the amazing part.

The water exposed to positive thoughts, speech and words created beautiful crystals that looked a little bit like miniature snowflakes, but the water exposed to negative words, had irregular, distorted structures.

Water exposed to classical music created lovely crystals and loud, discordant, heavy metal music created distorted patterns rather than hexagonal crystals.  Melodic pop songs created beautiful crystals too – that means music with a nice tune.

Water taken from natural and clean rivers had beautiful structures as intricate as lace, but from polluted rivers the structures looked disgusting.  He could not find any tap water in Japan that could form crystals because of the chemicals added to it.

Some water taken from a dam in Japan did not form lovely patterns under the microscope, but once blessed by a prayer from a Buddhist monk formed really beautiful crystal formations.

He concluded that the best crystals of all were made with a combination of thoughts and words of love and gratitude.

Dr Emoto said spring water is better than mineral water, and pure, natural flowing water is the best water of all.

Unfortunately, we don’t all have a water spring or a clean river in our back garden.

But you can bless the water you drink before you drink it.  You can ask it to take healing and other good things into your body.  You could bless it before you give it to your pets and plants too.

Dr Emoto’s research has been criticised by some, and you may think all of this is just too woo woo for words!

But read my News Desk this week…

Dr Emoto wrote a book called The Hidden Messages in Water, and travelled around the world meeting people, talking to people in lessons for grown-ups called lectures, and experimenting on water he found in different rivers and water springs.

He thought his work could be a huge service to humanity.

He wanted to create harmony and pure surroundings for people by asking them to speak positive words.

He wanted people to live in harmony with nature and each other.

He said it was good for the body and soul.

Readers of Dr Emoto’s magazine, conducted an experiment with cooked rice in two glass jars.  Every day for a month they said ‘Thank you’ to one jar and ‘You fool’ to the other.  The first fermented with a mellow fragrance whilst the second rotted and went black.

Dr Emoto published these results in a book and as a consequence, hundreds of people all over Japan tried the same experiment and everyone reported the same results.

One family had a third jar that they ignored and this one rotted before the one that they said ‘You fool’ to.

Others tried the same experiment and achieved the same results.

After several weeks, the rice exposed to love fermented into a creamy consistency and had a sweet smell.  The rice exposed to hate went black and mouldy, and the rice that was ignored was in a bad state too, and usually even worse than the rice bombarded with words of hate.

Many people have tried this experiment since and had the same results.

You could do this experiment too, if you would like to.

Put cooked rice in three clean jars.

Rice absorbs water when it is cooked and all Japanese households have rice in their homes.

The jars can be labelled love, hate and ignore.

Expose one jar to loving words, one to words of hate and one should be ignored.  The ignored jar is what scientists call a control.

The focus of thoughts and words only need to last for a minute each day.

See what happens after a month or two.

You may have seen people talking to their plants as well, giving them love and encouragement to help them grow better.

HOW TO MAKE A MAGIC WAND

You will need a stick taken from nature.

Cut two yellow felt stars and glue them together over the top of the stick to make a cap.

You could wind some gold thread around the shaft of the stick to make it glisten.

Tie the ends up well.

Most importantly, make sure that you only cast spells for good!
